This royal icing is thick and sets fast which makes it easy for detailed cookie decorating!Â If you are worried about using raw egg white, substitue the egg for meringue powder.Â 1 large egg white equals 2 tsp meringue powder mixed with 2 TBSP warm water.
- 1 egg white
- 1/8 tsp creme of Tartar
- 1 & 1/4 cups icing sugar
- Beat egg white with cream of tartar and add icing sugar
- Start on low speed to combine then on high until very stiff. 3-5 minutes
Royal icing takes well to food colouring!Â add a couple of drops of your favourite colours and have fun decorating!!
